The beatification of Bishop Zoltán Meszlényi

Pope Benedict XVI has approved of the decree verifying the martyrdom of Zoltán Meszlényi, auxiliary Bishop of the Esztergom-Budapest Archdiocese, who died in March 1951. The beatification will take place at the Basilica of Esztergom on 31st October 2009.
The celebration will take place during Holy Mass celebrated by Card. Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest. Archbishop Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints will also be present for the celebration starting at 10:30 am.
