Statement by the historic Christian Churches

If we take our responsibility seriously, it is not just an opportunity but also our duty to make our choice in order to consciously influence the life of our country and the possibility of everyday prosperity. In the present disquieting social and economic situation we consider it especially important that we vote with caution, after learning about the priorities of the candidate. We suggest searching for those elements of the programmes of the different parties and candidates that help the life and the development of the basic integrating forces of society: the family, the local commmunities and our nation as a whole.         

We are convinced that the only remedy for our present affliction is making sacrifices in a responsible way of value-based thinking and action. Therefore we request everyone to look beyond the big promises and heated communication of the campaign and support candidates whose personalities and commitment offer the hope of fortified constitutionality, diminishing corruption and increasing trust for one another.     

We hope both the process and the final result of the election will serve the edification and strengthening of each one of us.
